KILLED my workout today!!!

Well, I survived another day!  Today was Day 9 of my P90X/TF hybrid and Day 2 of my 1000 calories workout challenge.  On tap for the schedule was Core 20 and HIIT 20.  I knew there was no way that I was going to burn 1000 calories just for those two exercises, so I stepped it up.  I hit Core 20, HIIT 30 and Insanity Max Interval Plyo.I burned 1181 calories during those workouts.....WHEW!  I'm not sure how I made it through but I did.  I can already feel the workouts and will need to do a major stretch tomorrow after my workouts.  I can't wait to see what my measurements looks like on Monday.

Day 8 - TF/P90X Hybrid

So, today was Day 8 of my TF/P90X hybrid.  Last week I set a goal for myself that I would burn at least 1000 calories in my workouts all week.  Being that today was only Back & Biceps there was no way that I was going to burn 1000 cals.  Well I did burn 1052....woot woot!  I completed back & biceps, 20 mins of tabata (squats, pushups, lunges, situps & burpees) and 55 mins on the Wii Fit.  My back is definitely feeling the workout.  Those corn cob and towel pull ups are NO JOKE!  If you don't know what I'm talking about, you'll have to look them up or purchase P90X.  :)

On another note, I took my measurements and I'm down 1.2lbs, .25 inches on my waist and .50 inches on my hips in a week.  I'm glad that I still even lost weight considering the weekend I had.  I will have better changes next week.

Days 2 & 3 of P90x/TF Hybrid

I forgot to blog yesterday's workout, so I'm combining it with today's workout.  Day 2 consisted of Ab Ripper X and Fire 30.  I love ARX - great core workout in just 15 minutes!  Instead of doing Fire 30, I decided to step it up and do HIIT 30.  It was the first time I'd done that workout.  I LOVED it.  My max HR reached 180 bpm (96%). The HIIT's were ahhh-mazing!  Hahaha.....Day 3 - today was just shoulder and arms.  I decided to lift heavy today and I feel it.  Which is a a great feeling.  Again, since I'm so use to doing cardio, I wanted to add something to today's workout.  I included the lower ab challenge parts 1 & 2 and took my son and his friends roller skating for their last school skate night.  Boy, I can feel it in my hips.  I'll make sure that I do plenty of stretching tonight so I'm not super sore tomorrow!  Great workout and another day tomorrow.  See you then!

5.16.11 Workout - First Day of TF/P90X hybrid

Today is a new day!  I decided to switch things up a little bit after completing 10 weeks of Turbo Fire.  I love the program, don't get me wrong but I love lifting heavy weights.  So, with that being said, I had been comtemplating doing a TF/P90X hybrid.  I love the energy and cardio in TF and think that the P90X weight portion will be the lifting that I need.  So, today was Day 1 - Chest & Back.  All those pulls up and push ups, I loved it!  Exactly what I was looking for. I felt weird not having cardio on the schedule since I'm use to doing it every day, so I decided to add Cardio X.  Man, I felt GREAT afterwards.  Day 1 is in the bag and I'm looking forward to a mix of abs and cardio tomorrow.  I also completed parts 1 & 2 of the Fit Phatty lower ab challenge. My abs felt awesome and can't wait to see where they land me in the next few weeks.  :)  If you would like to learn more about Fit Phatty or our Phat Camps, comment here or inbox me at phitmom4life@yahoo.com.
