Mid Week Check In - Happy Wednesday!

Hey everyone!  Happy Hump Day to you!  I just wanted to share my week with you all so far. The first thing that I wanted to share was, I know the scale doesn't always matter but I want to point something out.  When you put in the work AND eat clean, the results will follow.  On Monday, I weighed in at 159 something and this morning I weighed in at 154 something.  How have I been doing it??  I'll share.  I've put in at least 30 mins of cardio, whether running, jumping rope or doing cardio intervals.  As far as my meals, they've been clean, no joke!  It's amazing what you can accomplish when you do what you are supposed to.  I'll continue out this great and continue my journey on Sunday when we start the P90X/Insanity Hybrid challenge.  With that journey, I'll share measurements, pictures, posts and videos.  :)

Have a blessed day!

Fit Phatty Jump Rope Challenge

This week Tiyona challenged us to jump rope for 10 mins every day.  How many of you did that?  I didn't do it every day but did it most days and let me tell you, I felt great afterwards.  I even took a photo and shared with you guys.  When ever I completed the challenge, I had my music going on in the background to keep me motivated.  I switched up my jumps (ie - single, double, side to side, front and back) to not get bored.  For each challenge, I completed the 10 mins at one time to build on my cardiovascular.  Jumping rope can be hard but it's a great way to blast the fat.  That's why I am going to continue with this challenge even after this week.  Who is going to join me???

Run in the park......

My son had a friend over today and they wanted to go out and play at the park. During my lunch break we walked over to our neighboring park. So, instead of wasting my time and watching them, I made the most of it.  I decided to go for a run while they played.  I'm not sure how far I ran but I ran for 30 mins.  It was a great run even though the sun was beating down on me. Normally, I go running first thing in the morning, beating the sun, plus it's much cooler. By the time I was done, my shirt was drenched.  I had a nice cool down walking back home.  The kids got some exercise and so did I!  :)

Back to the Drawing Board - Shakeology Cleanse Day 1

Well, I hate to admit it but I've jumped off the map for about the last 2-3 weeks, eating whatever I want and workouts were sporadic.  And believe me, the numbers don't lie!  I stepped on the scale weighing in at a whopping 163.7lb this morning!  My measurements were as follows: chest - 37 inches; waist - 32 inches; hips - 40 inches; right thigh - 23 inches.  So, to give you an idea of what's happened - I've gained 9lbs and 2 inches in my waist and hips.....OUCH!  Normally, you're supposed to go the other way.  I knew the would happen and I can't be mad at anybody but myself.  So, to jump start my routine, I'm starting my shakeology 3 day cleanse today.  It's time to get the wheels back in motion.  I will continue to update you guys on my progress each day.
